Job Title: Solid-State Laser Systems Technician

Salary Range: $60,000 – $100,000 / year

As a Junior Solid-State Laser Systems Technician, you will support the hands-on assembly, preparation, and testing of advanced optical and laser subassemblies. This role is ideal for an early-career technician or hands-on individual interested in precision hardware assembly and prototype builds.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precision mechanical assembly, including optical component installation, fastening, and cable routing.
• Clean, inspect, and prepare optical and mechanical components for integration.
• Assist engineers and senior technicians with system builds, basic optical alignments, and prototype development.
• Conduct routine measurements, visual inspections, and accurately document build notes and part usage.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, tool organization, and inventory.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 0–3 years of hands-on technical, assembly, laboratory, or manufacturing experience.
• Education: Associate degree, trade school background, military technical experience, or equivalent hands-on training.
• Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, high attention to detail, and comfort working with small precision hardware, hand tools, and microscopes.
• Preferred: Prior exposure to optics, photonics, electronics, or clean-room handling practices is a plus.
