Job Title: Systems Integrator / Test Engineer

Location: Herndon, VA

Salary Range: $130,000 - $180,000

Overview We are a leading developer of laser and electro-optic systems for the aerospace, defense, and space communities. We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Integrator / Test Engineer to join our Research & Development team. In this hands-on role, you will lead the integration and testing of complex spaceflight lasers and electro-optical systems, solving technical problems across mechanical, electrical, fluid, and power systems.

Essential Duties

• Lead the planning, execution, and documentation of integration and testing for complex hardware systems.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (program managers, scientists, engineers) to develop new technologies for military and space applications.
• Develop test processes, plans, procedures, and equipment designs.
• Design deliverable hardware, ground support, and special test equipment.
• Manage system requirements and traceability for verification and validation.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Optics.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in systems/test engineering, focusing on test requirements, planning, and integration.
• Clearance: U.S. citizenship is required. Ability to hold or acquire a Secret Clearance is preferred.
• Bonus Skills: Experience with spaceflight and electro-optic hardware integration is highly desired.
